Agreed. Hell, I recently picked up a Silver Label title and thought that even sounded excellent. To me, though, it is the business practice and desire to address the issue when given the opportunity but instead chose to almost make it a laughing matter(which it sort of is). Meh, will I continue to buy Mofi? Yes, I think so. But these fools need a better marketing approach.

Really glad you like it! Love the wider soundstage of these japanese pressings. I think this one has the "dirtiest" crunchy sound of all of the japanese Zeps I have, but it really suits it. Also, just the fact that these copies are super clean - like mine has zero pops and background - is a huge win.
Speaking of japanese presses, I actually just received a NM- LZII Japanese 1973 today... plus a japanese press of Songs In The Key Of Life (that I believe both you and @Joe Mac quite enjoyed).
You’ll love that Stevie press, all the Japanese Stevie OGs are magic!

I have that exact same pressing! 7” EP and all!
The songs in the key of life is the same one turbo linked to. Its great. I couldn’t get a Japanese copy of Inervisions so I just ended up getting a UK OG for that one.

For Innervisions go with a OG US press with KENDUN in the deadwax. It was re-cut by Kent Duncan. The George Marino ones had issues skipping. They can be had for fairly cheap. I've had multiple pressings of this over the years and still find this one is hard to beat.

Yeah for the most part. The H just indicates it was pressed at the Hollywood pressing plant.
Here is a pic of mine. Anything with this stamped in the deadwax you are golden.

Because the mastering required for each medium is completely different. Vinyl has a myriad of restrictions that, in part, lead to the sound profile we all love. Plus if you think like that why would you bother with anything released in the last 20 years on vinyl?

So that Japanese 1973 Led Zeppelin II is crazy good. Holy shit. That is all.
Lots of people rag on Waxtime because they are obviously digitally sourced. And you know what? There’s not a damn thing wrong with them. They sound good, are well pressed and are reasonably priced.
That they are digitally sourced is immaterial- they still sound better than any CD of the same album that I’ve heard. And you don’t have to spend nearly what I did on gear to beat the CD.
My issue now- given what we know, is the pricing on the MoFi releases. It’s still a good product, but I’m not sure I’m in anymore given the price.

I just bought the Marantz SA-KI Ruby. Imma see if I can't get a MOFIxMarantz vinyl transport for one of the digital inputs. Finally hear those melted pellets the way MOFI intended.
