They've been asking me to return albums lately but I do push them and say I want to wait and return it after I get the replacement.

if he wanted a good cover he could order a new copy, keep the best cover and return the damaged one for a refund also.

received a damaged gift yesterday from amazon.spoke with a supervisor who claimed they rarely do a refund or send replacement if damaged item is not returned, and when they do make a exception supervisor has to fill out a special form to allow that to happen.

I always get the replacement before I return the original item, but yeah, have to return it for the refund. Seems very fair to me.

yep agree it's fair. i just never remember doing that in the past. they used to let me keep it and send a new one. i haven't gotten too much from amazon lately for vinyl and when i have, i have been lucky and it's usually in good shape. today i got one box with 3 separate mailers in it, which seems like a huge waste of cardboard and Soul Station had a seam split anyway.

they made it pretty simple to return it too so no complaints really! i just have to leave it outside for UPS tomorrow.

Yeah, you're right that they used to be extremely lenient but i'm guessing tons of people took advantage of it and not just with vinyl. I remember when I used to get worried about being banned for returning too much with all the stories circulating and then you start hearing the truth from some of the people that got banned and it was because they were basically cheating the system and cried on the internet when they were caught. I've def. noticed more and more retailers small and big have gotten more strict, even Target hasn't let me keep the last few things that were damaged.

This is the DSOTM pressing that is on sale for 23.49. The comments all say it's pretty great. Anyone have this pressing? My old copy is basically unplayable and I haven't bothered to replace it yet...this might be the one I finally buy.
