Burnley Watford postponed now

Burnley seem to have been majorly affected by this. Bottom of the table with a rake of games in hand.

It’s looking like a January table from the 60s or 70s before undersoil heating when you’d have a rake of weather postponements that would have to be squeezed into the second half of the year!

Arsenal cancel their game and then loan out another player a day later?! It’s a farce. They should be docked points for each game postponed.

There is an academy in each of the clubs - all teams should be made to utilise it if they ‘don’t have enough first team players’.

Particularly the bigger ones. I feel more for a club the size of Burnley, who infrastructure wise really are a lower Championship club outperforming themselves, as opposed to Arsenal who have academy players who are all internationals. Plus 10 Covid cases as opposed to one. The Arsenal call really was a farce and it’s probably the straw that broke the camels back.

Yes that’s a fair point on Burnley. The others though, I think they’re just calling it in.

I also think it sends a really bad message to your academy players, many of whom will be on the cusp of the next step - really sorry chaps but we don’t think your good enough to play for us…

Fucking wank

After a really positive first half the second has been shit. Also Cavani has done fuck all, why is he still on?

Greenwood off?!?! Yeah that makes sense, loads of fucking sense 🙄
Your avi and these posts are perfect together.

Okay so why is there a separate FA organization and a separate EPL organization? What does one organization do or cover that the other cannot?

Hahahaha! That was one frustrating game to watch!

The FA is the football association. It is in charge of governance and the running of the national team. The FA Cup is it’s your same thing.

The football league used to run all league football in England. The also organise the League Cup. In 1992 the top tier broke away, unhappy with the amount of revenue being generated and with the share of it that went to them as the more prestigious and glamorous clubs that generated the most interest. They formed the Premier League.

The Premier League is an organisation that runs the top domestic league in the country. It is a membership owned organisation with each competing club owning one ordinary share.

The intention would be that as the governing body of the sport the FA is over the Premier League as an organisation. The reality is that the mind boggling money involved in the Premier League means that one of English footballs biggest issues is that the tail is really wagging the dog in that relationship.

Fantasy gods....Ronaldo needs to stub his toe hard before tomorrow's match so he sits. That is all I request.

Or gets a Hat Trick....either or.
