@Ghost uses this one with his Linton's. If you go with a Klipsch horn design you do not need much power as they are very efficient. See if you can find RP-600M demo or sale.

I want to give this a try but I don’t see a tape out on my receiver, only a pre-out. Are they similar?

Is there an called record/recording? That’s the same as a tape out. The pre out isn’t ideal because it’s using the marantz’s volume pot. A recording/tape out would give a line level which is the best for the headphone amp can then let it control the gain for the headphones as it’s designed to do.

Yes there are two that say record. They don’t say out or anything though.

That’s what they are. That’s the one to use. They pass a line level to a recording device like a tape recorder. That’s an ideal output for a headphone amp too.

I want to hook up a pair of bluetooth speakers to my system so I can listen to records when I'm in the kitchen. We have the system set up in the living room as it doubles as the sound system for our TV, but I spend a lot of time cooking and want to listen there too. Bonus points if I can have it playing in both places at the same time.

Or is this a fool's errand and I should just drill some holes in 100 year old plaster walls and figure out how to put speaker cable through them sounds easier than it will be.

I have an Onkyo 9050 and a pair of Elac B6 speakers for normal listening.

I could be wrong, but I think what you will need is a bluetooth transmitter that can be connected to your integrated amp.

This is strictly my personal opinion, but if you’re in another room cooking or doing any other activity, don’t mess with records. This is where streaming shines. No need to have something burn because you went to flip a record, have run out groove dragging because you had your hands full, or worst of all… get your records dirty with nasty cooking hands.
 
Recommendation that no one asked for…

I finally got to hear the new Rosso Fiorentino Pienza Series 2 bookshelf speakers. I have the Series 1 version of the tower of this series (Certaldo). All I can say is that these speakers are massively impressive and fun. They really melt away in the room and put out an insane amount of sound for their size. If you want speakers that just melt away in a room, even a fairly large room, these are the ticket. Highly recommend giving them a listen if you have the chance.

Here you’re looking at both Series 2 speakers in the Rosso line. Certaldo 2 towers. Pienza 2 bookshelves. The midrange and scale of the Pienza really is magic.

You could go the Sonos route to connect your turntable to Sonos but after all is said and done, may not be worth the $$.

Personally, I’m with @displayname . I’d use the money to go for a streaming setup. I cook a lot as well and always listen to music when I do, so we use a google home or an IKEA Sonos to stream music. I also use Roon to have multi room but that may be overkill for ya. I used to use a Bluetooth speaker but it was a little annoying when it would run out of battery so I use one of those other devices now

We keep two JBL Charge 3/4 in the laundry room. Take one around or out when needed, the other stays charged. That way we always have a back up if one dies. The only thing that’s consistently annoying is the 3 and 4 use different chargers (usb mini and USB-C) so we have to keep both cords around.
 
I know that the Lintons (Heritage Series) are all the rage these days but what are your thoughts, experience or opinion on the Diamond 💎 line or the Evo4 Series?

As an owner of two different pairs of wharfedales (Denton 80th anniversary and Lintons), I’d feel comfortable buying most of their speaker lines. The Denton 80th are now down to $500/pair. Way smaller size than the Lintons but I really like how mine sound.

I'm certainly not in a rush to upgrade my speakers as I am more than happy with my Revel f36 towers, but when I do decide to pull the trigger, Wharfedale speakers are definitely going to be at the top of my list. That said, my wife is not too keen on the whole vintage 70s chic revival happening right now so a retro-looking speaker such as the Dentons or Lintons, are almost out of the question. Ditto for the KLH Model Five, which I was also eyeing. 😕 Hence why I was asking about their more traditional line of speakers.

Or less traditional depending on how you look at it 😉

I’m intrigued by their Elysian 2 which looks like a futuristic Linton, right down to the stands. It’s a bit higher up the line so €€€ but I’d love to see what people make of it!

Yeah those are cool looking but too rich for my blood. I would likely stick to the Evo Series...the Evo 4.4 (pair) is 3K.
