Wu Tang is my hip hop group of choice and Cheese Wagstaff is the man. This is one of my top 5 Wu-related albums and I genuinely am upset by this. I thought I would be able to trade my classics for this. Hopefully its another "we have more on the way" situation like they said they would do with Outkst

It wasn’t made available as a swaption until OutKast sold out last month, but it’s been available for purchase all this time.

Storf said back in early May that inventory on it was low, but gave no ballpark figure. It could have been a few dozen but it also could have been a few hundred.

Wow... I thought that one would be around a while, given its ready availability elsewhere. Slight regret I swapped it out earlier. But only slight.

My membership ends this month. For my last record I swapped for Soul Makossa, which was the only thing I wanted that I didn't already have in the whole store. Recent selections and exclusives have been really uninspired except for a select few which are mostly widely available elsewhere.

Wouldn't it have made more sense to press an additional 10-20% of this to provide copies for current AND new subscribers? Somebody really dropped the ball on this one.

My guess is this is just an additional consequence from the Outkast screw up. Would assume they had Tical numbers locked in prior to Outkast being pressed. So when they under-estimated Outkast, I would guess that lead to a HUGE underestimate on Tical. Doubt they even had an option to get a rush order on more Ticals once they realized it would be an issue, if they even did realize it. Maybe some swaps of it will open more up, but then again it being sold out will lead to people that were going to swap it to hold and flip i would guess. FOMO and what not...
 
IDK I JUST signed up for RHH last month to catch up on some stuff with swaps. IF they are adding subs like mine, they have no way of knowing how far out enough in advance. Also I'd imagine a bunch of people subbed for Outkast and is inflating the number of subs to that track. At least they are attempting to stop the overselling on this one.

Of course that would have made sense - but something something play the cards your dealt or whatever. I'm glad I havent found myself in the middle of one these *mishaps* yet.

I ordered the blue glow in the dark from the label and got a clear vinyl that doesn't glow in the dark.

Someone on Vinyl Collective said they pre-ordered through Rough Trade and got an e-mail from them saying the distributer misplaced their copies.

Just cancelled all three tracks, the July shipment will be my last one and will contain no more than one record. And looking at swaps I'm not even sure which one it will be, since of course they still don't offer Rob and not even Mavis or Novos Baianos any more. Any ideas?
