So for anyone who guessed and wanted "The Moon and Antarctica" for the Essentials ROTM just pick up the currently available pressing. Surface noise on side a so far so it's like the VMP experience without VMP pricing!

I have a copy of this pressed at United from probably 10 years ago and it sounds very good. Maybe United was more on point a decade ago?

Definitely, even though it is obvious otherwise, the fact that it is also present in the run in proves it unquestionably.

Exactly. I’ve never had skipping problems with any new records, it’s basically a set up thing or a dirty ass record thing almost all of the time in my experience

Unless it’s a pressing defect. Definitely had gritt embedded into the record before, not shifting it however many times you clean.

I haven’t listened all the way through yet but I dropped the needle on side A and it was clean as a whistle. I was absolutely amazed. There is a slight warp but nothing to complain about.

Yeah sometimes, but it's a lot rarer than people claim for sure. I feel like most of those skipping complaints you see are just setup related or dirt related.

I listened to sides A through C yesterday after receiving it, expecting issues. Mine sounds surprisingly great as well. I wasn't too focused on finding serious fault, but it sounded quite clean.
