It Could Get A Bit Messi In Here - The Football Thread.

I’m new to this thread and I’ve been considering, I’ll repeat, considering taking up interest in the Premier League. If I were to do so, which club would be a good one to follow? Possibly one of the underdog clubs. Not the best and possibly one of the lower ranked clubs that I could learn to grow with.

I will say that I’ve given the ‘ol footie many a go during my sporting life and the lack of
scoring and the embellishments on the pitch have kept me uninterested. However I was a big fan of indoor soccer when I was a kid, but that didn’t translate to the big game. Like my recent appreciation of Jazz, I feel like now could be my time.
I would also like to add that my current love affair with Ted Lasso could be another push in that direction. Any advice would be kindly appreciated. 😊

I absolutely hate the club but Leeds play some fantastic manic football and would be a good watch.

Both Villa and West Ham have exciting young teams and good managers that could be enjoyable to watch.

If you want a team that’s outside the traditional giants but have a chance of winning things then right now Leicester City are the team.

Them Southampton and Watford really worry me.

I see Newcastle being shit but narrowly staying up and Norwich having a fun crazy narrow escape. Burnley will be there or there abouts like every year but I’d back Dyche to work his usual miracle to keep them up.

I think if I were brand new I’d pick Villa. They seem really promising this season.

Anyone but Arsenal. Save yourself the agony. I've been a happy Arsenal fan probably 6 seasons in my life lol I started watching in 2000 when I was 8.
 
I love Aston Villa and West Ham as mentioned above. I have them littered thru my fantasy team the last couple seasons

You are a misery Arsenal had a really good team up till about 2012! The last 8/9 years, and particularly since Wenger left, have been rough I’ll grant you!

We Gunners are trophy whores! I enjoyed our Premiere league titles and close finishes especially in the FA Cup winning years.
 
I actually remember leaving school early for the final my freshman year of high school in 06 getting ready with all my friends who skipped with me for what I thought would be success only to end up pissed off more than ever
