Pre-Order Thread

I got excited for this but then I remember I already have this one lol
Nice! You could always double up and sell the one ya like the least.

What would be great (but not likely given TTL’s track record) is if they reissued it with the bonus ep that came with it when it was originally released. That contained the “Fast Version” of “Major Label Debut” which is the best version. If I recall they said they didn’t include the fast version on the album because they though it would be too popular or something goofy like that. The slow version is fine but the fast version is so much better.

the OG Major Label Debut is one of my all time favorite BSS songs

Don't know if this should go in Pre-Orders or Deals, but saw this on reddit: Cold War Kids - S/T Compilation for around $6 shipped.

I've said it before, I think we've seen the last of the B2G1 Target sales on records. My last few CS experiences with them weren't as friendly, making me think some large scale abuse was going on.
I wouldn’t doubt it. I mean people would buy three and return the records they didn’t want to get the discount prices which I think is abusing the system. People will always ruin a good thing.

Yup, hands down the rudest and overall worst CS experiences i've had recently have been Target by a longshot sadly. They used to have very friendly and actual helpful CS for a big company kinda like Amazon yearsssss ago but that seems to be a thing of the past now. I also agree we probably shouldn't be anticipating any B2G1's including vinyl since I believe the last 3 now have not included it. Back in the last sale when I got a damaged big item and they were out of stock I just chose to return it (even saying i'd rather exchange if possible) and they ohhhhh so rudely shot back at me with this... (I remember reading I think on Reddit that others got similar emails)

I would caution you that when you purchase 3 items under the "buy 2 get 1 free" promo, that you plan to keep all 3 items and not cancel or return any of them. This can cause issues for future orders. In addition, it will be necessary to return all items when requesting a refund or replacement from now on.

I replied back saying I actually wanted it still, just not a copy that was heavily damaged so they replied back telling me if it came back in stock it would not be part of the "B2G1" anymore but as an appreciation for my patience they'd take 10% off the original price if I contacted CS.. So basically they poorly package the item in the first place then I have to waste my time dealing with CS and repackaging and dropping off the box to return. Then wait for who knows how long for it to come back in stock and when it does I get a 10% discount instead of the 33% it was during the sale I originally bought it? In what world is that competent customer service? 🙃

Then just a couple days ago I received a Jimi Hendrix record in a huge box that was obviously beat to hell by the time it got to me and I asked if they could do a UPS/FedEX house pickup since I do not live that close to a Target or drop off spot. They replied back calling my Hendrix record Rick James which was really weird to begin with since i've never bought any of his records from Target lmao. Then "CS Chad" told me that I needed to google pickup spots near me because he did it on his end and it showed there were several within a mile or two of my zipcode. TF? I replied back letting Chad know that a persons address is not just the zipcode and that I live on the outskirts thats about 15 miles of 1 lane winding roads out of town not that I should even have to tell you this. Then he just did a final reply saying sorry they do not do pickups for "records or discs".

Seems like most places outside of a select few have gotten significantly worse Customer Service wise over the last year or two for sure. I'm usually pretty easy going and understanding but damn, would be awesome to have an at least kind of competent CS to deal with. 2nd-3rd grade level would even be acceptable at this point. Sorry for the long post but this is def. why I try to avoid non-indie vinyl stores outside of some great deals now.
