Of course they are. How silly of me to assume that VMP wouldn't just blindly send out an email about a contest that a vast chunk of their users aren't eligible for. Filtering a database is hard.

I am optimistic as a vinyl nerd……but pessimistic that I won’t end up being in a relationship with another vinyl nerd in the future! Just want a vinyl who can restore all my records I damaged with the spin clean!

I'm not a therapist but I play one on forums. Look at the slip there....you want "A VINYL". Not a person, "A VINYL".
Your relationship with vinyl is unhealthy. You anthropomorphize them. Was it a spin clean accident? What exactly are you doing with these records?
Seldom used in my fake field of online forum mental health medicine, but I assure you this is a real clinical diagnosis and any real life doctor you don't ask will tell you the same....but you, my good man, are a Grade A Sicko. Certified. Bona fide. Tried and true.
Imma need you to register with your local record shop and stay 100 feet from all record players.

My relationship with vinyl is actually good! I’m not obsessed or dependent on vinyl and do love the hobby! I can go without spinning vinyl for weeks and I’m good, but I also enjoy spinning 6-7 records a day sometimes!
How did I damage half my collection with the spin clean!?! I scrubbed really hard against the spin clean brushes and when I took my records out of the spin clean, I wiped them straight away and stored them in a new diskeeper inner sleeve! I didn’t allow them to dry much at all! And the cloth I used wasn’t that dry too!
I’ve learnt my lesson though! I don’t know what to do with all the records I damaged though! I’ve cleaned them again with other solutions; groovewasher formula and using their brushes! That got rid of a lot of the extreme static popping surface noise, but there’s usually still quite a bit there!
