Vinyl Me Please Essentials

Yeah, I'm curious to hear this too. I always assumed the lo-fi quality of the album was either due to the recording & mixing and even partially due to how RZA sampled on his EPS & ASR.
All of that is true but you’d image you get a bigger sounding version if the tracks have more room to breath potentially resulting in a more booming low end. The album is 61 minutes in length so depending on where the decide to make the cut offs for each side you are talking about approximately 15 minutes per side which should be fantastic. The only limit they would have is based on the compression of the source material so I don’t know how large the gains will be but I’d imagine there is still some room and given it’s arguable the greatest Rap album of all time I am excited to hear the final results too.

Welp, I guess I'm in for copy #3.
MOV Copy #2 YOU'D BETTER START PULLING YOUR WEIGHT AROUND HERE OR YOU'RE GOING TO FIND YOURSELF RELEGATED TO COPY #3 PRETTY EFFING QUICK.

i am pretty sure they ONLY did wu tang as 2LP not for sound quality but to make the album in the original sequencing

Giving Beverly-Glenn Copeland a play. Seems more of a Classics pick, no? Wonder why they chose it for Essentials. Not bad but I don't think I'll be picking that up. Otherwise I'm in for RHH/Classics for the next three months and debating updating my Wu.
Agreed. Wondering if they maybe felt like they couldn't sell the folkiness of it in the Classics track. It's a fascinating record, but I'm pretty sure it wouldn't get a lot of spins in my house. I'll likely be swapping it for the Bill Withers or Outkast next month.
