Record Store Day 2021

i'm mostly just waiting on getting the one (or two) final records on my whale list and then I'm good... i feel bad that I bought extra when andy bought them all for me but it seems to just be a bunch of confusion between the 2 of us and I do plan on buying at least 2.. maybe I might buy all of them and sell/PIF the dupes i got to someone here even

Anyone know of a shop in the EU that does RSD and has cheap-ish shipping to the US? Looking to pick up the Bill Fay record next month

That Iggy still in stock most places- Surprise, you burn people repeatedly with shit sounding live albums, they stop selling

Electric Wizard selling for under list on discogs: Truly stunning and won't be that way for long

Dorham: the RSD MVP.?

Soul Slabs: the no. 1 record everyone regrets not buying two years later

Oh Sees at SF: where did this come from lol

Pinata 84: Tell me how McCartney or the Stones didnt think of creating decade homage variants of their albums before this

Hathaway live: there is a blue MOV for the same price i probably should have bought

Chromatica: they should honestly refund every single purchase of the first press

L7: sometimes RSD tells you what you need

Flaming Lips companion: did i just pay 38 dollars for a radio station promo cd of leftovers

Does anyone else do the thing where you have a specific list of records and budget in mind beforehand, and then you get to the store and wait in line for a few hours and, once it’s your turn to go in the store, you find out that a few of the records from your list are not available, so you just look around for other records to impulse buy so that you still end up with about the same amount of records and spend the same amount that you originally planned on because you feel like you deserve that number of records after waiting in line for so long and you tell yourself that you might not be able to find those other records ever anyway.

And then, once you leave the store, you have like a feeling of satisfaction and accomplishment that lasts for like ten seconds before you immediately set about finding those other records on your list and buying them even if you have to spend a little extra.

Third year in a row. I think getting up early hampers my impulse control and I always feel like I have to justify waiting in line for so long by buying a certain amount. Not complaining, though, haha.

I only kind of do that

I gotta say, despite the frustratingly long line (even though I got there 4 hours before opening). It was a pretty stress successful RSD. Got every release I wanted, and didnt have to do any online hunting for anything except t.a.t.u.

Honestly, Im a little worried for July with how quickly things seems to go even in online leftovers. I seriously was considering passing on in person in July and only going through online sales, but we'll see. The only ones I think I want that will be in HIGH DEMAND, are the Prine box set but quantities are huge there, and t.a.t.u. which I bought overseas and hopefully dont have to worry about.

Just wondering what you mean by this. Haven't gotten around to listening to it and didn't pick it up since I have two more live Osees otw.
I told myself if I saw itI’d grab it but I didn’t and won’t be tracking it down online. That being said, I’ve read the sound quality is the best of any OSees live recording so I do plan on checking it out at some point.

But honestly, I prefer the set lists from the Levitation sessions and Big Sur over this Chapel press anyways. 🤷‍♂️

Just that I don't think this was on the official RSD List and just released alongside it..so it flew under the radar. Sound quality is absolutely massive and has a great vintage bootleg look to the jacket. I saw it flipping through the bins like ohh what is this?
