Vinyl Me Please (store, exclusives, swaps, etc)

Not cheaper at all.
Apart from the AK20 sign, I really like that alternate cover! Looks amazing! The colour variant also looks great too! Only thing is I’m a bit mixed about the two bonus tracks being equipped at the end of the track listing! I really like that side D starts with the chilling “Never Felt This Way” with the original/current pressings! And Lovin’ U is such a wholesome, vintage sounding, heartfelt closer too that sounds like a lost Aretha Franklin song! Can’t imagine another song following afterwards! Looking forward to seeing what the deluxe treatment packaging for this anniversary release will look like!

I can - assuming you're willing to pay me for it now and wait for December ship (and also understand the inevitable issues that might come with ordering from VMP!)

Message me if so.
I can always update you on stock numbers @Fleetwood-Matt too! I’m at work at the moment, but on my break I’ll do a stock check and will let you know how it’s selling!

The Diary Of Alicia Keys is sold out, but it took more than 3 months for it to sell out, so I’m sure Songs In A Minor will be in store for a while, especially as VMP pressed 500 more copies in comparison to The Diary Of Alicia Keys!

@Fleetwood-Matt

For those who are wondering, there are 1,688 copies remaining of the Songs In A Minor exclusive! So there’s still plenty in stock, with just over 800 selling! With 2/3 still in stock, I’m sure this will stick around for at least a few months! Cannot wait to get this at the end of the year though; it will definitely feel like I’m getting a Christmas present! 🎁🎄😇

Hey Nathan, how many left of that crazy overpriced Darkside "Spiral"?

I messaged scott already for it! Even of it stays for a while I wanna get it now while I know I have the money for it lol

If I was to spend it on a store exclusive, I would spend it on either:

1. Blackfoot - Youth Power ($29)
2. Pastor T.L. Barrett - Do Not Pass Me By ($23)
3. Dadawah - Peace and Love: Wadadasow ($30)
4. Ali Farka Touré - The Res Album ($32)

The Ali Farka Touré is absolutely superb and is easily my favourite from the bunch of recommendations! It’s meditative, raw, beautiful and has this naked, ravenous and stunning aesthetic! It’s such a beautiful album! The GZ pressing sounds exceptional too! 🏆♥️
All 4 of the named releases above are great. Totally agree the Ali Farka Toure is amazing, so is the Orchestra Baobab 'Specialist In All Styles' which is in a bundle with Toure. The Dadawah is a Trojan reggae classic.

The Baobab is absolutely incredible too! I’m playing it tonight! 🙊
I have it on the queue as well now that I brought it up lol. Coming up right after I finish up this Loma debut spin.

P.S. have you listened to Loma’s first album? Would love to hear your thoughts.

Man I have like 45$ in credit and I'm tempted, but I'm also waiting to see if there's going to be any decent drops. Every week it's weak ass bullshit.

Honestly, my biggest reason for not doing it aside from the crazy price is the pressing plant. Independent Record Pressing are not good.

Clearly my brain must be readying itself for the end of my sub in a month or two because this is the first Wednesday in months I haven't been refreshing the page at store drop o'clock, or even think about it until I saw these posts just now.

Haven't been interested in a store drop in ages tbh. VMP 100 was a special circumstance but not many have been my cup of tea since. The prices are definitely helping decrease spending*, which is probably offset by all the Craft and Tone Poet albums my local keeps getting in.

* It used to be that even if I didn't know a record I'd check it out and probably order, but now the prices don't even make me curious to listen to an album to see if it's something I'm going to enjoy.
