Vinyl Me Please Anthology

Is there anything they got right on this? I mean I guess (as far as we know) they are all Blue Note Records.
There's still another shipment left, so don't jinx it.

But they have literally screwed up every record and the timing in some way or another. Some small, some not so small, but there literally isn't one item that is 100% correct and as promised.

Yeah, I would definitely sell or PIF.

I'm holding it for people on here who may not get their 2nd set. I get the feeling I have someone's set that had a label created but never put on their box.

Wouldn't think of selling it because I don't need that bad karma getting me back with a lost box some time later.

Based on Storfs response in the attached Reddit thread, it looks like a Fania anthology coming in October.

I think they were looking to do a Classics and possible exclusives with Fania in the near future so that’s probably what he’s referring to but an Anthology would be awesome! Too bad they would surely screw it up though.

Am I the only who finds it weird that the Anthology "giveaway" is through a 3rd party that's asking for access to your Twitter account? There's also the option to just email in, but the default is this 3rd party. Strange.

(Sorry for not keeping it about the music Jazzbos.)

Right, it’s not like they don’t already have our names, addresses and other info they can sell to marketers. They now want access to our social media accounts.

It is weird, but all of VMP's sweepstakes have been like that, at least as I can remember. They gave you more entries for every social media outlet you supplied. I don't tweet, so I just emailed.

Just send them your Vero profiles. It's the social media platform of the future.

I have seen several contests setup the same way

At this point I am expecting them to sign to an exclusive deal with MySpace for the next Anthology series to host the community space.
Hey, losing half of the music they were supposed to have in storage is one thing VMP and MySpace have in common, so let’s not underestimate the potential synergy there.

I find it weird as well. I'm probably not well-versed in how normal it is to allow access to your social media accounts by third parties - maybe a lot of folks think it's normal - but allowing a third party to "update your profile" and "post Tweets for you" is something I might let my better half of 13 years do, but only after thinking long and hard about it. Why would anyone allow a third party to have that kind of access?6759

Man I didn't sign up for Anthology but this really sounds like VMP is reallyyyyy dropping the ball here. I've been a member since December 2014 and I absolutely loved this company. Now I'm definitely leaning towards not renewing this year.
