The Good Ol' Grateful Thread

Third Man Records x Bob Weir and Wolf Bros LPs coming this year!
Interesting. I haven't really dug into the Wolf Bros stuff. They did a handful of live streams this year, but I've missed every single one.

Molasses slow, lots of Ratdog, but when they get cooking it’s great. If you can find it, they did a great show in Nashville last year pre-covid(like4 days before things just stopped) where they have a ton of guests.

I'm streaming Vol 2 right now. It's okay. I'm not going to buy it on vinyl. I'd much rather have JGB self-titled, which to my knowledge has never been pressed. It's nearly the same set of songs from around the same time period, but much better versions IMO. I used to have that on CD and I played those discs to death.

Very much looking forward to that and this

I draw the line at 5xLP ;)

Does anyone have this? Wondering how it sounds :)
I don't personally own it, but it is an Audio Fidelity pressing. They are held in very high regard. I'd say, buy it without hesitation, if you want/can afford it.

only one I saw was the one I bought in Toronto a couple years back. same with Terrapin. Never see that in the wild.
Yeah, I rarely see them either anymore. Both my copies of Shakedown and Terrapin came out of a thrift store, a whopping 70 cents plus tax for the pair. @Crabbers that Built to Last GD LP I sent you came out of that same thrift store as well.

Also pulled out a near mint Beck's Midnight Vultures LP on Bongload, some OG Coltrane on Impulse. Mind blowing finds, but that was years ago and those days are long over.

I recently purchased a tape deck component for my stereo and was wondering if any of ya nice folks have any live shows on cassette you’d be willing to dub for me? I would pay shipping and for the cost of cassettes. Ideally mid 70s early 80s time frame. Thanks!

A long overdue vinyl release. The version of 'Deal' on this one is insane...

Anyone wondering what this year’s box set is going to be? I’m hoping that it is announced soon but I wonder if the rsd releases are going to get in the way and they’re not doing one?

I’ve been addicted to their box sets, some of them are simply amazing sets

Definitely looking forward to this one.
Makes me feel a little less salty for missing the Dick’s Picks Vol. 36 drop.
