I'm not saying never, but kevin has crazy standards, and if (isnt) anything, that would be a record that for sure would be $$$ in VMP stores, and ultimately i hope VMP doesn't press it

I actually think if VMP were going to, this all would have dropped at the same time, or really vmp would have def hinted at it

I had those 2017/18 ones in my cart at least half a dozen times spread over a couple months. Glad I can right my wrongs.

I’m sure loveless sold out pretty fast last time ..I know I brought the then new one but missed out on loveless ( I fortunately have an original creation Isn’t Anything) ...

They were up for a while. Months. I remember going back and forth, forgetting about it, going back, forgetting about it, quite a few times.

yep. basically it looks like this is everything from back then

guess the only thing is you cant add instructions to ask if kevin can sign it

that said, at that time i jumped on them, and def dont regret it now still, just due to the fact those will forever be on "MBV records" and you got a secret rejected test pressing of isnt anything if you ordered both

I got the Blue/Silver and the TTL one (I only have 2 because my buddy wanted a copy so I'm gonna give him one of those since I just got the TTL one on a restock). They both actually sound pretty good to me. I'll have to compare it to the high res streaming but I remember being prepared for the worst based on what everybody has said and mine sounded good. It seems like the TTL has diff deadwax info than the Blue/Silver or VMP but wonder if it's just a GZ issue with some of the earlier copies?

it didnt, at least wasnt anything like this, i was in tokyo when it dropped, got my copy, and a month later when i was back at work was talking to my buddy online, had it all in his cart, and said nope once he saw shipping

I had a creation pressing 20 years ago but gave it to an ex gf, bad mistake

Ah that’s right I remember that. Should’ve pulled the trigger. Oh well, looking forward to owning it in any capacity

sort of, it was a big deal when they were reissued, so i agree with you for sure that it wasnt like this :)

having domino be the infrastructure for all this helps for sure. Pretty sure MBV records was kevin and maybe one other person

If I remember correctly it was basically his wife because if it was left to him he’d be forever in the studio playing with sonic textures, little or no interest in actually releasing anything...

Personally I think it is much more a reflection of the craziness of the vinyl market and vinyl becoming more pooular than the band becoming more popular. Good for them to be able to cash in though, just hope everyone who wants them can get copies.

MoFi and Music Matters pressings were sitting around for years back then and look at them today.

I think they’re a cult act too. With limited pressings they’ll fly because there is a hardcore market demanding it. That’s seen in the pricing frenzy after the last one was such a short run. If they did the deluxe as a long run i could see copies sitting. Equally it’s so far only been available in their home country and the country in which they were a big cult act on the cult indie of the late 80s/90s.

we are also talking about a band that has only put out 1 record in the last 30 years too (since loveless, which came out nov 1991)
 
I think p4k said in their reissue of those albums years ago that there wasn't really a difference between analog and digital sound

I just wish I could buy the best one
 
I have the REs from the other year (+ alt Isn't Anything) and the 2013 mbv (LP+CD)

From email: "Fully analog cuts of the 2013 album m b v will also be available on deluxe and standard LPs globally for the first time"

But from my understanding the REs and 2013 mbv are AAA. Is the marketing to key in on "globally for the first time"? Basically, if you've already got them are you getting anything new?

I also think combined with the fact shoegaze/dream pop is a bigger deal now then its over been. like say merzbow's pulse demon, loveless is super memable, i mean like at how many loveless memes you've prob seen at some point
