Fresh Grabs

Just spun my AP Some Day My Prince Will Come last night while making dinner. It’s grown to be one of my favorite Miles records, Top 3 I would say. The title track is just absolutely gorgeous, the way he sends that note right in the beginning. Brilliant brilliant brilliant, I always stop in my tracks to hear that one come down. Is this one of OJC presses you picked up?
I've got an OG/first Colombia 6-eye mono pressing in great shape that I haven't listened to in a while, but I have a note with it that track B-2 rules, attributed mostly to Coltrane. You've inspired me to give it another listen!

Enjoy that! I imagine you’ll find some new things to like

It’s such an awesome album. I picked up the MoFi of it last year and it sounds great. I’m glad that those KG Monos have been so well done too. Great time to be a jazz fan who buys vinyl!

That was the first non-vocal jazz AP album I picked up and it really is fantastic. Really stunning pressing!

New arrival! I have a problem...

I passed up on a first pressing of this a few years ago at a carboot sale because the seller wanted £4 which I saw to be wayyyyy overpriced for a carboot record  :ROFLMAO:

To be fair it probably isn't far off the average on discogs, but I rarely pay more than £2 for a record at a carboot and stuck to my limit for once!

I paid a bit more than £2 or £4 for this 😂

I have a few more bits that arrived today but wanted to share this first.

My Ill Considered 10 box arrived today and it is a stunner!

So much work has gone into this without a doubt. Embossed card box. 12 pieces of one of a kind original artwork (hand-numbered to indicate where in the video series they are). EP in a black printed inner. Additional stickers and postcards designed by Vincent De Boer. The box and artwork are wrapped in a card belt, numbered and with info.

Absolutely stunning collection and it's clear that the 1.5 years of preparation and 9 months of hand-drawing paid off in a big way. Just going to clean the record and give it a spin now. Ill Considered were shown the video for the first time and improvised a piece on the spot. They then re-watched a few times and provided different takes, 2 of which are included here.
