Ambient / Noise / Lowercase / Field Recordings / etc.

Anyone supporting any ambient artists today on Bandcamp? What are you buying?
I got the 10th Anniversary Edition of The North Bend by Rafael Anton Irisarri.

Also bought one of the last copies of Malibu's previously sold out One Life.
If you haven't heard this already, it was one of my favourite albums last year:

Good call on The North Bend. I've had my eye on the 10th anniversary edition as well. Been playing a lot of Irisarri lately -- I've had Solastalgia on high rotation. Really wish A Fragile Geometry could get a repress.

Will check out One Life!

If you haven't heard it, give that Laurel Halo in my last post a listen. It should really connect with Irisarri fans.

More from ASIP

Speaking of ASIP the label's name is a reference to Ulirch Schnaus's 2003 album (I think I read that someplace). That album has been OOP for sometime and a new reissue is coming this month, along with some of his other albums. Pre-orders are around via Rough Trade, Amazon, HHV and some others.

Heads-up that Rafael Anton Irisarri released a new track today, "Fernweh," for Bandcamp Friday with an offer to match any revenue from this track with donations to NAACP Legal Fund.

Please share any other ambient Bandcamp buys you'll be making today for Bandcamp Friday! Since I enjoyed Clarice Jensen's The experience of repetition as death so much I know I'm grabbing a digital copy of Drone Studies since it's a cassette-only release.

Talking about RAI, his new album released a couple of weeks ago is really good

New Pausal is out next week on PITP

I've listened to it twice already via bandcamp and it's very good. the track "Apnoea" sounds like it came straight from "The Tired Sounds of the Stars of the Lid" 😍

snagged one of the last copies today. PITP is having a great year.

There are 4 copies left at the Hospital Productions site of the Oxblood variant from Prurient's latest 2xLP ripper from Tesco, Casablanca Flamethrower. I think Hospital might be the only place you can get the Oxblood one stateside. There are black available there and elsewhere, and both editions are available direct from Tesco for my European friends.

Cross-posting from deals thread as it might interest people here especially.

Bandcamp Day flash sale on Eluvium's Life Through Bombardment Vol. 2 7xLP collection. Only $100!
Check the main Temporary Residence merch page for other unearthed rarities from their catalog listed just for today as well.

Sooo, I found out about the "Everywhere at the end of time" album project from the caretaker this week after reading the NYT article about it. truth be told, I feel slightly embarrassed that I discovered this after it turned into a Tik-tok meme. but anyways, after looking into it and reading about it, I've hesitated from listening to the whole thing bc I don't think I could be able to digest the whole thing rn without getting anxious or feeling depressed.

anyone here listen to the whole thing by itself? what were your thoughts and experience coming from it??

Woah. Didn’t know there was a NYT article and now it’s a tik tok meme? Can you link to both? I’m interested.

I don’t know if it’s very depressing, a little bit but I like the project. Glad I have them all on LP.

first 3 volumes are really nice. It’s what The Caretaker does best IMO. Classic ballroom-esque music filtered through his special production to make it sound aged and broken. The next 3 volumes are pretty much a noise fest of just randomness and nothingness. I was little disappointed how quickly it shifted in sound from 3 to 4. I honestly couldn’t tell 4, 5, or 6 apart if you played them for me blind. They’re... fine. That sort of void noise is not really my cup of tea. Maybe someone else with more experience with harsh noise would be able to describe it better.
