Equipment Recommendations - The Home For New System and Upgrade Advice

Any suggestions 🤔 I like Totem Acoustic (🇨🇦) myself but their towers are slightly priced over budget.

I've got the standard Forests that i picked up used and I love them. They take a bit of volume to properly open up and I've not heard the Sigs to compare (nor is here a dealer within about a million miles of me to do so at) but if they were readily available then I'd try Totem again when I upgrade.

I've got them paired with a Musical Fidelity M6I and that seems to be a decent match

I'm going to give the ZU's a nod here, they are a little finicky when setting up, but once they've been placed correctly they're a beautiful sounding set of speakers. I would either jump on the next sale, or keep an eye on their Deals page once the sale nears, you'll sometimes have great opportunities there. The Omens with the Druid Drivers I picked up are absolutely stellar and only ran $1300 ;)

@HiFi Guy, might also be able to chime in on the Wharfdale Lintons, which I have to admit, are also sounding like a great "Bang for your Buck"

I’ll have to defer to the likes of @HiFi Guy @AnthonyI and @kvetcha because I tend to look more European because the North American tend to equally be comparatively over priced this side of the pond 😂. Those zu’s have a great reputation on this site if you get in early enough on the first to secure one of the sets put aside for the sale.
As well I should note that the local audio shops whatever is left of them, tend to only sell the high end European brands 🤷‍♂️

I thought Wharfdale was manufactured in the UK?

I think $1300US for your zus or CAD$2200 for the Lintons is probably out of budget though if the CAD$1400 for the dalis was slightly out of it 😂

They are, in Cambridgeshire. They are part of IAG with Quad, Luxman and a few others.

Edit: Actually that’s a lie. I think thats where they’re based/designed/serviced. I know the Quads and Luxmans are built in China now. Now sure about the Wharfdales.

He has spent a crazy amount of money on cables. And I really hope he has more CDs somewhere else, because a system like that for a small amount of media is bonkers.

I discovered his channel earlier this year while searching for local(Las Vegas) Audio channels. He recently moved to Seattle and to a much smaller apartment, so I’m not sure how much he had to downsize.

They have a design and engineering team in the UK- 50 people, but IAG is a Chinese company and Wharfedales are manufactured there.

I’ll have a full write up soon, but the Lintons most definitely are a fantastic value.

Yeah I had to send one of my quad’s back there for service earlier in the month. They were fantastic, sorted mended (they said a capacitor had gone) and returned to me under warranty within 3 weeks.
