Hip Hop

Funny to see all the people whining about the Mike Eagle special edition price after the discussion we had about the R.A.P. Ferreira pricing. Seems really dumb though when he mentioned in the listing there would be a normal priced copy.

There's 280 left, so it'll probably be up for at least day or two more if anyone is still thinking about it.

Back up at Vinyl-Digital

BTW Vinyl Digi reached out to me today. They are mailing my shipment DHL Express today. Finally. Anyone with orders held can request it. I had 4 albums ordered and they said the shipping I paid (about 18USD) covered it with tracking

Probably missed out on prior convo but this shows red vinyl, which discogs claims is a boot. Accurate or?
Fat Jon stated all the pressings from 2019 onward aren't being released with his permission, but they do sound similar to earlier pressings. Idk how true it all is, so I bought the 2012 black to avoid the risk

Thanks, will hold off then. Should also always be a red flag when the site tries to hype it up with a "don't sleep on this one"... similar to when they say, "This WILL sell out"

My understanding is that the red press was created with the intentions of being an official press, E.G. same quality sources as the OG, but that something derailed it's release (maybe they tried to cut Fat Jon out?). I read this numerous places though none official. The fact that this edition keeps popping up every few months resembles the constant stream of most bootleg releases, however, like how a batch of Faces or Blonde or Graduation bootlegs will randomly pop up every few weeks, so it is hard to say. TLDR grabbing one is worth it if you arent too upset about the artist not being paid, I hate it but if artists refuse to get super-high-demand albums pressed themselves then copies will become available through other avenues and most fans would replace any bootlegs in their collection with an affordable official copy if the chance ever arose.

Wondering if/when Griselda bootlegs will begin to pop up, might not quite have the mass appeal to justify it yet or people just scared that Griselda will ironically snitch to authorities and keep any knockoffs off the common marketplaces. eBay doesn't seem to give a shit but idk if Chance, Kanye, Frank and other endlessly bootlegged artists just haven't raised a stink and thats why its gone on so long unregulated by anyone but Discogs. I did have a Pink Floyd bootleg listing deleted by ebay within hours due to a copyright complaint.. Fucking roger waters lol... Any thoughts on this? I'm not sanctioning bootlegs btw just interested in yall's opinions
