How does the Dafuniks pressing sound Skalap? Add got back to me and confirmed that I'll be getting a copy of it, so I'm absolutely over the moon! I really, really enjoyed what I heard whilst listening to Dafuniks! Love the fat, cozy, moody, soulful production they do! 👌

I've got Henri Texier's "Varech" & Donald Byrd's "Byrd In Paris" coming for my August package, but definitely plan on grabbing the Dafuniks + the August vinyl of the month (which is a funky album) for my September box! :cool:

I'm so excited by the way too, to get my first Wax Buyers Club box, which will contain Oliver Nelson and FunkProof! 😇

Is the wax buyers release of Byrd In Paris the same as the Sam Records pressing? If so then you are in for a treat @NathanRicaud. I actually think it might be my favourite label that I have 'discovered' this year.

I’m not sure actually, but @Skalap said the pressing sounds extremely good! Like it’s an immaculate sounding pressing, so I cannot wait Selaws! 😍😍🎯💎

It is, IIRC there is an exclsuive poster with the record sold by WBC.

Brilliant, I would also add that Fred (the guy who set-up Sam Records) is a really nice guy that essentially is running the label on his own. I pre-ordered a record plus a few more they have in stock and sent him a message to say I was happy for the pre-order to come in before he ships them all (so it cuts down on packaging and his workload) and he sent a really nice email back thanking me and stuff. I imagine he's pretty busy so nice of him to take the time to respond.

Thank you so much for introducing me to Sam Records! I'm browsing their store and it looks great! I imagine that Paris has a wonderful jazz scene, like London! I would love to spend a few weeks in Paris during Summer and to immerse myself in the jazz scene there! :love:💯

Oh I had a copy, it was just a very noisy pressing, so I've been needing to upgrade for a while. I feel like I've heard good things about the MOV pressing so I decided to give it a shot
