Grabbed fall leaves because I always grab the $20 variant. While the wax mage variants are nice and I wouldn’t mind having one... I buy too many records for that $$!

Same. Wax mage are never an option for me. I like that they had an in-between variant this time and I can see being tempted by those in the future if I like the variant enough more.

Party Monster seemed a harsh/loud name as when looking up close it reminded me of textures from an iris shot and they're something I've always found mesmerising to look at. Fall Leaves is a beautiful variant though and would have been happy with it if I didn't catch PM, the thick splatters work well.

Beautiful in sight and sound 👌, great album and a wonderful discovery!

It is very eyeball-esque!

Thank you for the support! We try to get these great artists in front of as many eyes and ears as possible!

I was lucky to snag a Party Monster variant (my favorite) and already received a shipping notice!

@soulsteprecords could you be any more on fire?! Thank you.

We make it a point - when something drops - we get it out. I'm a record collector too - and I want my purchases as quickly as possible. It was so many orders it took us TWO carloads to the post office today. Thanks!

Hey, look what came:

Also, I get why people were all about this. There are no less than three albums I’ve gotten from SSR that I absolutely adore and the first song of this just ended and I already know that this is my favorite release to date. I’m just gonna go ahead and @Twentytwo and @Crabbers because they need to know about this if they don’t.

I bought the first Terminally Wild/Bendigo Fletcher but didn't buy this. For some reason when listening to this on Spotify it didn't grab me like the other EP's. Not sure why, if all things are on honest I would have probably bought this if there weren't so many other albums that are up for preorder. My favorite thing that @soulsteprecords has released so far is Fort Defiance Haunts of Youth record. I'm hoping they will eventually press their first record.

Soul Step Records Announces SSR-064!

Soul Step Records is proud to announce the release of the brand new LP from Cincinnati’s Automagik. It’s called “Fluorescent Nights.” Automagik is continuing their new sound building from the buzz generated from their previous release “Goldmine” that was also released on Soul Step Records.

“Fluorescent Nights” is Cincy Funk Pop to get your freak on with. What happens when you mix early Prince and have him make music with modern day MGMT? You would get this unique album. “Fluorescent Nights” is a funky and fun spin. A true danceable record from the old days - made by real musicians creating the most fun party you ever been to. This record is a night on the town with your best friends. Go grab those dancing shoes and put this record on.

The Cincinnati, Ohio quartet - guitarist/vocalist Zach Evans, guitarist/vocalist Devin Williams, bassist Jamie Rasmussen, drummer Andy Cluxton - have been on a recent journey of sonic self discovery; earlier incarnations of the band notched more than a few impressive accomplishments along the way. It was the death of Prince in 2016 that provided the inspiration and impetus to take Automagik in new musical directions, blending their already estimable indie rock skills with rafter-rattling soul and an infectious glamtastic dance beat to create a fresh hybrid sound that bowed to the Mecca of old funk/R&B influences and remained ferociously contemporary and forward-looking in its perspective.

The latest example of Automagik’s ass-shaking metamorphosis is “Fluorescent Nights,” a conceptual Saturday night dengue fever dance marathon that challenges listened to think while they get their groove on.

Soul Step Records will be releasing “Fluorescent Nights” by Automagik to Soul Step Record Subscribers on Saturday, May 16th. The general public sale will begin on Monday, May 18th. There will be a limited to 100 Fluorescent Green vinyl variant in addition to the standard vinyl.

Whoa

Absolutely gutted! Was a complete idiot and forgot it wasn't Paypal. Wallet was in the drawer next room over. Grats to those that managed it, looked like an incredible variant.
