Online Vinyl Deals

Yep, Plaid Room and Bullmoose for used have always been my preferred but I've been swayed by ImportCDS 20$ off 65+ too many times, especially for pricier items. Usually it's fine but the headache when there is an issue just isnt worth it.
At this point it's worth giving the extra Money to to Plaid Room and BM, not only to avoid the headaches but to support the type of business they run. Their CS makes it feel like a local record shop even if I'm geographically not even close.
And don't forget about buying directly from record labels. Most have solid online stores with reasonable prices and good practices.

I buy on bandcamp a lot too since you get a high res download included with vinyl purchases for nearly all albums. They are supposedly the best platform in terms of how they treat their artists too and how much money goes to them.

I tend to disagree but purely from anecdotal, personal experience. Especially MusicGlue-supported stores or the UK labels that LOVE those flimsy cardboard mailers can be a gamble.

I was really referring to labels that run their own store, like Barsuk, Drag City, LitA, Matador, Merge, Sub Pop, Thrill Jockey, Secretly, and of course not all labels do it right.

Surprisingly, I've received a couple poorly packaged shipments from Daptone in the past year, resulting in small corner crushes. Not bad enough to return, but kind of a bummer.

Ah. Fair point and I wholeheartedly agree there. Those are all great picks. I'm having quite a few issues with Secretly but their CS is stellar.

Definitely reconsidering whether I'll ever buy records from Amazon again... Feels even dirtier now than before.
I've reached the point where I use Amazon to collect all the records I want to pick up, then I order them from my favorite record store two-hours away in Philly. If I can't get them there, I'll go directly to the artist or the label. It means I pay a little more sometimes, but it gives me a sense of satisfaction. The store in Philly is free shipping when you spend 50, plus you get a free record after purchasing 20.

I just got this email from The Sound of Vinyl.
The embedded link is The Sound of Vinyl. Got Bitches Brew for $21 shipped.

Thanks for the heads up. Wish they had info on which pressings they are selling...

they have the gold pressing of Little Beaver for $16.50 + shipping. Not sure which other deals are good prices. Lots to dig through.

Yep Roc has all of the Mandolin Orange stuff on sale. This Side of Jordan is back in print and part of the sale too. For those of you who liked Tides of a Teardrop, they’re all good. I personally think Blindfaller is their best.
