Vinyl Me Please (store, exclusives, swaps, etc)

well i take it back on not repressing things on black vinyl...

FYI, Storf and Pauly indicated that grandfathering of 1-month subscriptions will end. If you currently go month to month, and then stop for a given month, the option to comeback at the 1-month for $29 will no longer be available.

Yea--this has been known for some time since they got rid of it. Their stance has always been that you can re-sub once to keep your 1 month but after that, you have to keep the sub going to keep 1 month. I resubbed to get Art Blakey and have kept the one month for now to get Brubeck and some swaps but think I'll be giving it up soon again. Not enough left to swap that I want and not that amped about what we know is coming out soon.

well we already KNEW this was happening

it was said from the beginning that now again would be reissuing this boring record (oh i mean freest possible jazz they've done) afterwards, just without the book

Also, if monthly subs are no longer offered, then you aren't "saving" $24/year if you join on the 3 month plan
this only works if you count the costs they will now sell the LPs for (34 to 40 bucks standalone)

but even then thats wrong because assuming you are spending only 34 bucks (which means NO DOUBLE ALBUMS)

its 81 dollars OFF what you would have to pay for them (that would be a great marketing point if it made sense)

i knew someone would use this gif (i just didn't for the obvious reasons)

A VMP employee said that they hope to implement skips in the future as soon as the dust settles. Since this new site allows them to easily do that.
I thought the rationale behind eliminating one month subs was that people dipping in and out made it impossible for them to accurately project pressing quantities. Wouldn't allowing people to skip a month here and there create the same problem?
