Vinyl Me Please Anthology

Vmp is literally sucking me dry

If this isn't 150 (discounted not full price) this is a hard pass

But if it is

I will buy

And I'll be kind of those "wait for each episode" people

good things (I asked if it was under 250)

If this turns out to be true, I might be in for this, Com Truise, Tycho, SOSB, Tobacco, Gold Panda, Phantogram, are all excellent artists on the label. I am a bit disappointed they are going with compilations, going to put the swim albums on spotify and if they are good enough I'll most likely go through with this

I’m happy with the Motown box and would be interested in getting all the anthologies but I have literally NO interest in this one. I would never spin this adult swim comps after giving them a listen. The music isn’t bad, just something I definitely don’t need to own.

I wonder at what point they will saturate their market and cause sales of products to cut into the sales of other products?
People have to be making rational decisions when purchasing records right?

I'd imagine they're going more for Ghostly's customers over VMP's. Of course there's overlap but they're trying to get new customers.

Aaaand my dad is basically telling me not to buy it because "do you think you can pay for everything else?"

Well yes i just need the job before end of November.. but now doubt is here

Merry Christmas to me? If the motown anthology was all older motown, I would have grabbed that one too. I just couldnt get into the 70s and beyond motown options. When I think Mowtown, I only think old school. Maybe just me being closed minded. Same really for Stax for me. Guess it could be a good way to learn some additional artists on the label, but the price point makes it hard to "risk" it.
