This week was mainly spent listening to a bunch of playlists that spotify makes for me. I havent been in the mood for full albums (jessie Ware is the exception here) so playlists were so perfect
I've listened to a lot of Foals this week. It started with seeing two performances of them online, one in Paris and one at a German festival. That made me check out their records again.
Also the Lianne La Havas album is indeed pretty good.
Been on a vision quest with Coltrane. Beatles is a mammoth listen, period. Jellyfish is all @Bohnjaggs fault. Cockrell is the mag discovery from last month. Dusty is a 10 ten all time album for me and the next 33 1/3 book I’ll read. Smith has been sleepy time music and completely is Phoebe’s fault (I’ve never really listened to him before and will need to dive in).
Breakdown
Got around to listening to the entire Hannah Diamond debut from last year...still waiting for it to click fully with me after a couple runs through. The back half carries the record, with some infectious singles ("Fade Away" in particular). Other than that, mostly some vinyl spins and current favorites of the year. I'm loving more of these HAIM songs with every listen!
I've gotten horrible about posting mine lately, I missed last friday and forgot to post yesterday too. Probably has to do with a lot of my listening as of late being vinyl and me being bad at remembering to scrobble as I spin lol either way, here's my weeeek
Listened to mostly new stuff this week and a couple (Somni & Lianne) that have become favorites. That Liv.e album is great for fans of Erykah Badu and I really like the new Norah Jones EP.
