YEAR END MEGALIST 2023!!!!

Deadline was last night at 23:59 PST..

That's fine. There was only one album that I would have added points to (ANOHNI). It's more about getting that final 50 cemented within this thread for "historical" purposes. And though this is the last group in the world that needs it, I always do an end of the year playlist that I'll post.

Following!

THE RESULTS ARE IN!

47 users participated with 347 unique releases considered for points. Six fewer users compared to last year.

Restricting the list to the collective top50, with everything in the top50 having over 20 pts each. I find this to be more valuable as this requires at least two users to distribute points as opposed to a 20pt entry possibly being awarded by a single user.

A few honorable mentions also above 20pts:

Thank you to everyone for participating in this year's edition of the year-end megalist. Thank you to @Woob_woob for allowing me to take over the reins once more.

In addition, here is a Spotify playlist of the top50 albums in descending order for those who want a sampler of the two most streamed songs (Spotify statistics) from each record:

I'd love to see the number of times points were given to any given album. Is that possible? For example, I imagine certain albums got a lot of mentions but for a low amount of points so didn't break through the list (for example, I believe Gorillaz got 5-6 mentions but didn't break 20pts). Anyway, just a curiosity because there are probably some underrated gems in there.

I don't know if you (or anyone here) can see my 2023 MEGALIST spreadsheet, but there's the link.

EDIT: I've hyperlinked this on the first post of this thread as well.

Thanks, I looked it up and it seems like the "COUNTA" function does what I asked. I may have a bit of time later and could add a column with that data. I'll get in touch when time opens up on my end.

EDIT: oh, it's already at the end of each row.
