I can't stress enough how happy I am with this. This is by far one of my favorite grabs of the year. I already loved these sets, but the packaging, vinyl, sound, etc - all top notch!

Lee Morgan - Search For The New Land (Blue Note, 1966 first stereo pressing)

Morgan's most adventurous album imo. Really pushing the boundaries of what he had become known for. This was recorded just 2 months after The Sidewinder (which is a very different album) but shelved for a couple of years, presumably to focus on marketing for The Sidewinder after its huge success.

With the announcement of their new album ('Season 2' - Link here) I decided to dig this one out. Im lucky enough to have test pressings of each Ill Considered (their sister band) album and managed to snag this super limited pressing of Wildflower's first album a while ago now. The sample track of their new album is pretty great stuff!

The packaging is great. I’m not even sure if I’ve ever heard the first set...now the second set, definitely heard that a bunch of times

Musically this a pretty good psych record, looks cool, and it’s pressed ok. Sonically, it will make your ears bleed at any level above background noise. Harsh. Very harsh.

I can’t say I’ve ever heard this album although there are a few singles I recognize, at the time of it’s release, I had a friend from CA that was like “how creative, another batch of songs about CA...just what we needed” That’s been a running joke for 20 years now, and I’m finally listening to it. anyway thanks @gaporter for the PIF.
