Richard Hawley - Live at the Devil's Arse 2008
Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan - Live at WOMAD 1985
God, I miss live music. There was a time, pre kids, when I'd go to 4-5 gigs a week. It was a great way to meet mates and listen to music at the same time. I sadly never saw Nusrat but this is one of his first concerts in the west and it's just entrancing. I have seen Richard Hawley a few times and love him and his sense of humour. A cave called the Devil's Arse seems the perfect place for him to play and this is a great gig (I've got a second set from there a decade later too). Hope it's not too long until we can all have such fabulous communal experiences again.
Strong effort by doom metal veterans Pallbearer. Although the heavyweight cover and 2lps were fully shrink wrapped the vinyl was shipped outside the cover between the gatefold. No Split Seams. Nicely done.
Bobby (Boris) Pickett And The Crypt-Kickers – Monster Mash (London Records, 1973 Pressing)
The Munsters – The Munsters (Real Gone Music, 2018 limited pressing on Herman Green vinyl)
Spun these two one last time before putting them away until next year.
