Miles Davis - Birth of the Cool
Todd Rundgren - Something/Anything
I started my play-through somewhere with the second great quintet of Miles' but now, due to the vagaries of how I'm playing my records, I'm getting to the beginning. For an early jazz record, this is pretty amazing. And one of the favourite records of my teenage years that took me ages to get on vinyl - hard to believe that Todd basically played everything on this.

EDIT: This sounds pretty good. Really happy with this one. Didn't break the bank either. Do all the recent Spoon reissues sound like this? I think I may need to get more... I suppose the companion piece should be first.

I saw some mention of this pressing having issues earlier, not sure what they could be as this sounds great to me! A really chilled session with some great tracks! This was one of those moments when VMP pays off. I paid £21 for this VMP copy and Rough Trade had the standard copy listed at £34.99 plus postage!!!
