Yes, the whole album is basically a drug trip... from the initial euphoria, through the horrible bad turn in the middle of the night, and back out the other side as the sun comes up. It... gets intense. You don’t need to enjoy drugs to enjoy Spiritualized but it certainly doesn’t hurt. It is like gospel music but he is praising burying yourself in drugs To cope with a broken heart as opposed to Jesus.

Verve, Ashcroft, Bittersweet. Here’s a question, Kate Radley, his former bandmate and muse, inspired most of the heartbreak after she left him. Her new partner wrote another huge 97 hit from one of the other critically acclaimed UK rock albums of 97. Can you name the other band and the song?
OMG STOP! This amazing description makes me want to actively try and hit up a drug dealer to get some mushrooms/acid from them! Not that it's a bad thing I guess. I'm just so curious about the euphoria and I want to do psychedelics !Yes, the whole album is basically a drug trip... from the initial euphoria, through the horrible bad turn in the middle of the night, and back out the other side as the sun comes up. DO NOT DO THAT.OMG STOP! This amazing description makes me want to actively try and hit up a drug dealer to get some mushrooms/acid from them! Not that it's a bad thing I guess. I'm just so curious about the euphoria and I want to do psychedelics !
Verve, Ashcroft, Bittersweet.
Another thing of note, assuming they follow the original artwork it's one of the best packages in terms of extras and design. The whole thing is done up like a prescription order from a drug store. The liner notes, inner sleeves, etc... It's like a Mondo style package before Mondo was doing this...Ok so confession time. I have only ever listened to Spiritualized once before. I was given the VMP book for a gift and worked my way through it, listening to one a day. Pretty sure Spiritualized was in there.
Not sure if I like it enough to keep it yet, but its certainly got you guys excited so maybe I will stream a few times before making a decision.
Lucky Man is my favorite song by the Verve. It was the verve but the song was Lucky Man!
Lucky Man is my favorite song by the Verve.
Its definitely a great album and one that rewards repeat listens.Ok so confession time. I have only ever listened to Spiritualized once before. I was given the VMP book for a gift and worked my way through it, listening to one a day. Pretty sure Spiritualized was in there.

Or heroin. Same difference.Little bit of melatonin and alka seltzer really helps this album reveal its secrets to you
Big fan of Sonnet here.Oh wow! I think History is mine, maybe Sonnet too.
mmmm true! I feel like it could be part of the 'experience'. I thought of a relationship, how people experience their most 'happiness' from the connection/joy being with the other person, but when there is a breakup, the person finds it so hard to cope. Like, I kind of want to feel that because I want to know what that happiness feels like. The level of happiness must be so strong for you to be so sad when it takes a bad turn/finishes. That's what came to my mind when you said 'euphoria' then.....'horrible bad turn'! I'm so naive and unexposed thoughDO NOT DO THAT.
WHAT PART OF "HORRIBLE BAD TURN" WAS UNCLEAR?
I accept no responsibility.
Their was a promo CD version were each track was on a tiny CD in a blister pill pack and you had to pop out the cds like you would a Sudafed.Another thing of note, assuming they follow the original artwork it's one of the best packages in terms of extras and design. In for Prince Paul, Blossom Dearie and McCoy Tyner (though I still might cancel Tyner, it’s FOMO as of right now, jazz piano just isn’t my thing)
