My copy of Blue has an unfortunate repeating pop on one song, so I'd be OK with a new copy, but a nice version of Maggot Brain would be great as well. Bill Withers would be excellent too.
Dunno about that. Because she’s a woman the audiophile release companies haven’t picked it to press as “one of the albums a granddad wants” so there are probably quite a few other albums of the era that have been pressed to death much more than any of Joni’s...

I got that Kevin Gray/Steve Hoffman/Rhino pressing of Joni Mitchell’s Blue and it sounds outstanding! So I’m hoping the January Essentials ROTM isn’t Joni Mitchell’s Blue. I’m really happy with the copy I got!
So happy my local hunted down that particular pressing for too!

I’m a little bit bummed because I’ve got a great pressing of Blue, but I’d love to see what VMP do it with it! I’d definitely pick up the VMP pressing for it!
Would much, much, much rather Funkadelic’s Maggot Brain be the Essentials ROTM though!

Blue would be an instant skip for me too. I’m satisfied with my 2019 reissue that Kevin Gray cut.
