The N&G Top 500 Albums of All Time!!!

I love Revolver, but there are a couple tracks I could do without. Abbey Road is perfect in every sense. And yes, that includes Maxwell’s Silver Hammer.

It’s funny how my 3 favourite Beatles albums contain my four least favourite Beatles tracks (Maxwell, Octopus, Obla, Run For Your Life)

I am now just getting this so I will only be able to post really one, unless we continue and I can do a list.

So I am gonna talk up one of my top 5 albums of all time.

Tonight Alive Limitless

The much anticipated followup to the sophomore outing that to many defined who the band was in a sonic sense. Wanting to experiment this records is a dramatic shift from their old sound. The album touches on human needs, one sided relationships, and breaking free to realize the power of one's higher self. This followed their single "The Edge" that was included in the Australian release of The Amazing Spiderman 2 Soundtrack.

The sound is very human and ethereal. The vocals soar and I honestly cannot find a reason why it is disliked. It got me through a very rough moment in my life and I think it's one of their best. In may ways in a sonic sense it's different than a lot what I listen to, but as lyrically deep as some of the best songs I know.

Definitely interested to see which Beatles album lands highest... White Album or this, most likely.
White Album for me. Between that, Father of the Bride and The Runners Four, I’ve realized I have a real weakness for sprawling, uneven, ambitious double albums over tighter, more objectively perfect ones.

I just realized my top 5 has both a live and a compilation album, and I have 2 live albums and 5 comps in my top 50 overall. Glad we didn't make a rule against including those haha
I ended up with five live albums in my 50; I truly didn't realize that many would make my list until I got to work on it.
