I bought my friend a copy of Mingus's The Clown for his birthday a few years back and he feels similarly about that cover. He was like, "Please dont be offended, but I'll probably flip this around on my now playing holder." 😂

It was a tough choice because I also have a slightly rare 1995 reissue of Al Green’s Let’s Stay Together featuring this hype sticker…

This hits on a few levels. Aside from being a 'Colonel' he doesn't always seem to have a method on some of his songs. And, he invented his own stringed instrument he called a chazoid. RIP Colonel Bruce Hampton...truly one of a kind.
