Soul Step Announces SSR-095!

Soul Step Records are announcing their first ever INSTRUMENTAL release. Let’s welcome the Soul/R&B/Funk sounds of MOUNT WORCESTER to Soul Step Records! We are releasing self-titled debut LP.

This LP is packed full of East Coast Deep Instrumental Funk & Soul. This Nashville, TN based group is for fans of Menahan Street Band, El Michels Affair, and Sure Fire Soul Ensemble. Deep Funk rhythms emerge through the smooth horn arrangements that are stacked in the grooves of this LP. Although this album contains no vocals, it still packs an emotional punch. These tracks are filled with cinematic soul that evokes the stickers summer days & the cool breeze summer nights causing in your low rider.

Soul Step Records will be releasing the debut LP from Mount Worcester to Soul Step Subscribers on Friday, September 8th. The standard orange vinyl will be available in indie and big box retailers on the same day.

There will be a limited to 100 color vinyl variant in addition to the standard black vinyl. Soul Step Records highly encourages fans to sign up to be a Soul Step Subscriber for free, as most of our limited edition vinyl sell out before it goes on sale to the general public.

Soul Step Records are incredible proud to announce that the artist behind SSR-096 is Nashville Soul Siren Alanna Royale. Alanna is back with her new LP, “Trouble Is.” We will be releasing this album worldwide on October 6th, 2023.

The only thing more powerful than a dive into Alanna’s music is seeing Alanna perform live. Laugh out loud funny and fearlessly outspoken, her gospel will surely stir you and follow you all the way home. Whether it’s her arresting vocals, air tight rhythm section, or shiny brass section; Alanna Royale is a can’t miss artist with her feet firmly planted in the sounds of the past and her eyes on the future.

After two successful releases with the LP’s “Slow Blink” and “Impossible Daze,” Soul Step Records partners again with Cincinnati’s fuzz & psych masters IN THE PINES. Their new LP, “Painting By Numbers” will be released on digital and vinyl on Friday, November 3rd 2023.

Embrace the fuzz and prepare for the journey ahead on “Painting By Numbers.” In The Pines are for fans of Ty Segall, King Tuff, and King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard. The band continues to show its strength by continuously keeping their listeners on their toes. In The Pines continue to evolve with every record showcasing the depth of talent they possess. On “Painting By Numbers,” In The Pines plug in their guitars and showcase the psychedelic prowess across these expansive Ten tracks. The amount of sound that In The Pines creates deep in these grooves are layered, hazy, and thick. With the guitar tone, reverb, and deep nuance in production - this LP is great for a deep listen.

It's going to be a hot minute.....

I've got a repress almost ready to roll, a couple of LP's that are in the infancy stages of coming together, and I have some special things planned....but the problem is with some legal components in the contracts...so it'll take a minute - but rest assured that we are cooking.
