Pre-Order Thread

I actually only have an OG pressing of the self-titled and Prime Prine. It really saddens me to see how flippers have acted after he passed away. I got Prime Prine for $8 at my local. Somebody has a copy up for nearly $700 USD now on discogs.

People will always be people. It is just like Frightened Rabbit stuff after Scott killed himself. Their stuff was easy to get and cheap and then he dies and now most all of it is outrageous.

It's so fucked up...I forget which record store it was too, but one fairly well-known one jacked up their pricing on new Prine albums within hours of his passing.

That was Shuga Records. Previously a store I really liked buying from so that was disappointing. They currently have 'In spite of ourselves' for $45.99
Right--that was the one. I didn't want to name names without remembering correctly.

Part of me gets it, especially right now...record stores are hurting and need the money. But it's just screwed up to me that a record store's first impulse upon hearing that an extremely influential artist has passed away is to immediately jack up the prices of that artist's releases. Won't be ordering from Shuga again anytime soon.

AVENGERS: INFINITY WAR & AVENGERS: ENDGAME + BOX SET 6XLP Featuring the complete soundtracks to Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame. Music by Alan Silvestri. Artwork by Matt Taylor. Pressed on 6x 180 Gram "Infinity Stone" vinyl and housed in a web store-exclusive slipcase. Expected to ship in June 2020. Ships worldwide. $90.

Mondo, in conjunction with Marvel Music / Hollywood Records, is proud to present Alan Silvestri's complete original scores to 2018's AVENGERS: INFINITY WAR and 2019's AVENGERS: ENDGAME, available as individual 3XLP sets, or in one massive 6XLP Box Set.

The importance of Alan Silvestri's four decades of scoring films cannot be understated. His iconic theme for THE AVENGERS (2012) is just one of his many landmark achievements in the world of film music. His scores for the epic conclusions to the Infinity Saga – AVENGERS: INFINITY WAR and AVENGERS: ENDGAME – are a master class in fantasy and science fiction film compositions.

His score for the penultimate chapter of the Infinity Saga, AVENGERS: INFINITY WAR, is full of triumphant bombastic beats and solemn down notes – perfect for one of the most shockingly tragic films of the genre. For AVENGERS: ENDGAME, Silvestri's score is brilliantly meditative, sweeping in scope, and features quite possibly one of the most beloved tracks of the genre, "Portals.” We are honored to present them both in their complete format on vinyl for the first time.

Agreed on all counts. Plus, it's still in stock while if they kept it at the original price point I'm sure they would have sold quickly.

You think that's ugly? To each their own I guess. I think it looks great.
I love the wave coloring. The Tallest Man on Earth Wild Hunt reissue has the same wave pattern and it looks really awesome in person.

The larger image does look better than the smaller one on the site. I see what you mean. I hope the colors pop a little more in person, but overall I'm ok with it. Copped it.
