Yeah, I watched a documentary on it a while back. It caused quite a kerfluffle.

It also seems to me, that they had to shoot it down for some reason.

yeah, a lot of the covers were done old school with practical effects. e.g. momentary lapse they really did put out a bunch of hospital beds on a beach. Peter Christopherson of COIL did the photography.

The original cover proposed by strom was bleak in a different way:

I pulled out the '77 Japanese copy.
Played around with translating their version of the English lyrics.
It would be challenging to follow music in this method.

Not a lot happening in Floyd land at the moment but the catalogue is now being issued under Sony so starting to be rolled out again - usual suspect 1st but hopefully we might get some of the harder to find albums on vinyl soon (Echoes box set plz).

apparently pompeii has been 4k scanned and they'll be doing one of those 'one-night-only' event screenings at theaters in april. steven wilson also remixed the audio.

Pompeii was epic. Great stereo mix in IMAX.

Listening to the latest 2xLP Pompeii release.

US pressing is pressed at MRP. Records look super clean. Playing now without wet washing. Only slight crackle, nothing crazy. Sounds pretty good.

The bounce on Water's bass during Echoes Part 1 is quite incredible. Great mix. Master done by Matt at Abbey Road.

LPs come in cardstock inners with printing.
