I really liked Ring Road and Doves. Ultimately, I don’t like the singer’s voice… especially the spoken word stuff which comes off like that Baz Luhrmann song from time to time.

Lol, you asked if I thought this was country, too? I surely never claimed this to be country.. But I likely claimed that it just wasn't for me. There have been many albums from multiple genres that have not been for me this year. Sometimes they just don't click.. But that's almost always true for country albums for me

My most anticipated for Friday is new billy woods, but there's one album I'm not seeing on lists I'm super excited for. In fact, it's not even on that long list Stereogum places under it's album-of-the-week reviews.

Anna Justen - Michou's Dream

I've really loved some of the singles, in particular Individualism, Peppermint, Piece by Piece. This is some really creative song writing. I don't know much about her, but looks like she's a Montreal based musician, as her record release show is somewhere in Montreal.

EDIT: Whoah, I guess it dropped early, as the entire album appears to be up on streaming (spotify at least). Gonna listen now!
