So I think the plan is to fly to Madrid Monday morning. Have a day in Madrid. Drive to San Sebastián Tuesday. Have an evening in San Sebastián. Drive to Bilbao park and ride Wednesday. Day and game there. Straight from the stadium into the car and overnight drive to Madrid to fly home again.

Gotta sort it all with the brother this evening.

4 hour drive after the game? Ooft. Worth it though, especially if you win.

Yeah we both need to get back for work Friday and it’s either that and a €150 flight or another nights hotel, the same drive during the day and a €400 flight. There are just no flights in existence to and from Bilbao. Santander or Biaritz the week of the match, all gone before I knew I had the tickets. Even the ferry is foot passenger only and 36 hours…

Honestly, I think you do whatever you need to do. You'll not regret it!

Absolutely! It’ll be epic, it’ll just be a dry final for us but equally that’s not really a problem! I loved the one I went to in Stockholm back in 2017 but that being a much bigger city and a capital made the travel and accommodation so much easier and ironically, given Scandinavia, cheaper!

I went to the Seville v Espanyol UEFA Cup final back in 2007 when it was in Glasgow, and it was amazing fun. Part of Sevilla's run of wins - ended on penalties. i had fun as a neutral, but think it would be so much better as a fan.

Yeah they’re great as a fan. My dad did Seville with his pals in 2003 and they had an epic trip. They flew into Lisbon and did a Lisbon Lions tour and then drove to Seville via a couple of nights in the Algarve! He said Seville was mad. Given the weather and the hotels being booked out loads of the Celtic fans were just sleeping in the streets. It was supposedly just a big carnival. Delighted I can go with my little brother this time, he was a skint student when I did Stockholm so couldn’t afford it!
