Dang, you're fast! I'm hoping to run at a 9 minute pace for the half marathon. I'm also working on getting my shorter distances faster. I am good with short speed bursts. I got my 4 x 1200m pace to 7 minute miles, but I'm struggling to get my 15 minute benchmark past 1.9 miles.I am a big body weight work out person. A decade plus in the military so fitness is emphasized (well, Air Force, so at least passing evals are). In my 20's I was doing handstand pushups, high 30s pullups (real, full extension ones mind you - no kip) and running a 5ish min mile (7:41 was my best 1.5 mile AF fitness eval). Now, at 35 I'm a little more subdued (read: out of shape). But still run a sub 9 min 1.5 mile and do around 15-20 pull ups. Lift weights now and then but mostly body weight stuff. Less running cause Vegas isn't as great for outdoor/trail running as the East coast was. Been doing a strap/TRX type workout lately - Monkii. I backed it on Kickstarter for the hell of it and am actually really enjoying it. Takes all the bodyweight stuff I'm used to but adds some leverage with the straps. Plus, the app they have is really good and keeps workouts fresh.
Yea but you’re training for something so mad props. I’ve always enjoyed running - especially trail running so a normal run for me is 5-7 miles. But a marathon or half is commendable.Dang, you're fast! I'm hoping to run at a 9 minute pace for the half marathon. I'm also working on getting my shorter distances faster. So you’re an ultra marathon runner? They’ve been known to eat pizzas while they run. Impressive feat and feet.I’m all about fitness.

Anyone working out beyond the walk to the turntable?
I'm running my first half marathon here in a couple weeks. Will likely push for a full marathon by the end of the year.
Ran more than 100 miles last month. Hit 500 miles for the year this week. I ran my fastest 5k ever today (24:37). My feet hurt.
