Favorite Live Albums?

Jonsi - Go : Live

This is the only album in which I listen to the live version more than the original album it comes from. Also, it includes my favorite non-album track, Icicle Sleeves. I saw Jonsi on this tour, and it was actually more memorable than the times I saw Sigur Ros live.

Never pressed to wax, sadly.

That tour was amazing. Easily one of the loudest shows I've been too and the visuals were intense.

Adding albums that others haven't mentioned:

Grateful Dead - Reckoning
Sting - Bring on the Night
Neil Young - Live Rust
Pearl Jam - Benayroya Hall (10/22/2003) - In desperate need of a repress

B.B. King - Live at Cook County Jail
The Supremes - At the Copa
Big Mama Thornton - Queen at Monterey
Charlie Christian w/ Dizzy Gillespie - After Hours
Wes Montgomery - Smokin' at the Half Note
Jeff Buckley - Live at Sin-e

Fela Ransome-Kuti w/ Africa '70 - Live!

Hole - MTV Unplugged (only available in bootleg format, but, once again, maybe my favorite thing they did)

Ramones - It's Alive

Joni Mitchell - Shadows & Light

I also echo what's been said about Ornette's Golden Circle albums.

It's been two years since the first five. Here are five more favorites...

15-60-75 - Jimmy Bell's Still In Town
Who'd be crazy enough to name their band after a chord progression, play exciting, groundbreaking music that was so unique no record company ever figured it out enough to sign you and make your first ever LP a live record opening for Bob Marley? Well, Robert Kidney and the boys would, that's who. Deep from the Uncle D vaults. I used this as my N&G AoTM if you'd like to dig deeper -

Lucinda Williams - Live At The Fillmore
Great set with a ridiculous band, Doug Pettibone is one of the greatest guitarists no one knows. An absolute tone monster.

The Doors - Absolutely Live
The Doors live were like a box of chocolates. This one is some of that decadent, top shelf Swiss cacao shit...

Built To Spill - Live
Yes, Virginia, there is a guitar god in Idaho...

Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers - The Live Anthology
A 7LP behemoth of a collection that should be much larger. That's just how good TP was for so long...

Sunny Day Real Estate-Live
Bob Marley & The Wailers-Live At The Rainbow
Depeche Mode-101
The Cure-Paris
Dave Matthews & Tim Reynolds-Live At Luther College
Dave Matthews Band-Listener Supported
Dave Matthews Band-Live At Red Rocks
Ben Folds Five-The Complete Sessions At West 54th
Colin Meloy Sings Live
The Decemberists-We All Raise Our Voices To The Air
Iron Maiden-Live After Death…..Scream for me Long Beach!

Some more not mentioned yet:
David Bowie - Live at Glastonbury
David Gilmour - Live at Pompeii
David Gilmour - Live in Gdansk
Led Zeppelin - Celebration Day
Jimi Hendrix - Machine Gun Fillmore East
U2 - Live under a blood red sky
Pearl Jam - MTV Unplugged
Pink Floyd - Live at Knebworth

Too many to name... but here's a couple that probably haven't been mentioned:
Peter Tosh - Captured Live
Cypress Hill - Live at the fillmore
Dessa - Sound the Bells
Ozomatli - Live
Donny Hathaway - Live
Ben Harper - Live from Mars
Dave Matthews Band - Live at Red Rocks
Public Enemy - Live from Metropolis studios
