The plan is actually to go to Great Britian when we pay off the house. Scottland and Ireland are for sure on the itinerary, so more likely to meet ol @Joe Mac first.

Part of me would be tempted to go with wood but contrast the wooden speakers, table and surround with a lighter toned wood. Walnut and oak always contrast against each other quite well, for example.

Agree. The $15 for an electronic stylus pressure gauge is a great investment for any turntable. It may solve the problem with your current one.

The white frame to the unit is really nice though. Really breaks up the similar wood tones.
