Verve Record’s club pressing of Bill Evans x Shelley Manne’s Empathy is very very well done. Sturdy gatefold and sounds fantastic!

I almost wonder if this and Coltrane were originally done by Chad…they are both good. On quick listen the AP45 sounded better to me but the amount of deadwax on it is diabolical

Would make sense tbh. So far the club is 2/2 for me, I really really loved that Louis Armstrong press as well. Now need to figure out if I'm staying in for Ella next month.

If you want the four seasons then the pressings of both versions of Max Richter’s reimagining are very good.

I will look these up now. Sounds like they are more modern reinterpretations of Vivaldi's work? Could be cool.

I only have the 40th anniversary for comparison, but will report back on those two. I’ve spun the 40th… a lot — and really like it FWIW, but am excited to see if they did this one well
