Right. Yea I bet the BST sounds great. But same thing I would never listen to it cause no matter how great it sounds I don't like the album

That’s amazing that there is an audiophile quality pressing of The Nightfly!!! I am so keen to get a copy of this now! Such a great, moody, record that would sound so good after you’ve come home after dinner and just want to take it easy but keep the mood nice and semi romantic! 😍
 
Hmmm, I've seen this Nightfly mentioned around audiophile circles for years... Maybe I should check this Fagen fellow out...

Nooooooooo! This is much better, moodier and has way more sex appeal than Steely Dan! The Nightfly is more smooth, timeless, nocturnal, romantic and less cheesy than Aja and other Steely Dan projects!

I feel like someone (not me...I'm an idea person) should create an app for choosing any album to fit any mood based on the @NathanRicaud method.

So it would start off with like very broad questions:

Is it day or night?
Are you sober or intoxicated (answering the latter would create sub-questions as to what way your physical and/or mental states are altered)?
Is there food involved....are you preparing a meal? Are you currently eating? Have you just finished stuffing yourself?
Can your overall mood be described in an emoji and, if so, which one?
Are you engaged in intimate relations?
Are you at work?
Are you exercising?

So on and so forth
And drill down to figure out the specificity of how you feel....

Until finally it spits out an album that best encapsulates that moment in time for you.

Unfortunately, the result is meted out in a string of emojis that only @NathanRicaud can translate and you will have to get past a paywall to access the translation.

I'm not saying fans of SD are pedos. I am saying most pedos are prob fans of SD. And there's nothing casual about it. I made a Venn diagram. And I HATE Venn diagrams so that took a lot for me

Of course what I'm saying is not true. I don't really like SD but have respect for their immense musicianship and studio work. There's a lot of artists I like like that (not my cup but I recognize the tea is quality)

It does remind me of a coworker I had who a lot of us suspected had at least sympathies with the Proud Boys. Dude loved SD and things like Vulpeck, Cory Wong. He played them A LOT. I shared a car to and from our work. I heard SD daily

Yeah it’s the newest pressing that came out earlier this month. You want the deluxe one though, it uses the same AAA mastering from his self released pressing in 2018. It does sound really special turned up super loud!
