Best Music of 2019

I think a big part of my problem has been the inability to buy new records for a decent chunk of this year. I got every album on year-end list for 2018 on vinyl, but this year pretty much the only new release I actually really like that I own on vinyl is Xiu Xiu's Girl With Basket of Fruit.

Krit, Chance, Tycho, Danny Brown, JID/6lack, Bon Iver, Playboi Carti, Shura, Kanye, Run the Jewels, Tame Impala, Chelsea Wolfe, Swans, Q Tip, Four Tet, that My Bloody Valentine album confirmed for 2018, maaybe Jai Paul, Grimes, Avalanches, Burial, Frank Ocean if the planets align

Cherry Pickles Will Harden Your Nipples is the best album title I've heard for a long time so I had to check it out and I just listened to a song on YouTube. Kind punky garage rock with a female vocalist. Not really my thing, but it was a fun listen. Reminded me a bit of the little I've heard of Amyl and the Sniffers. Probably would have got into that whole scene when I was a teenager. File under 'this is good but not made for me.'

I'm old and listen to Jazz all day lol

It's awesome having a completely new musical perspective come to the forum. I'm sure a whole bunch of our members are gonna love the albums on this list. Go shout about how great this stuff is in the indie/rock/punk thread and you'll find loads of kindred spirits.
