Pixies - Surfer Rosa

Pixies Quiet-Loud dynamic was hugely influential over modern rock for the past 30+ years. Also, Surfer Rosa is kinda like riding a sand worm also sand worms are “Gigantic” also “Hey Paul, hey Paul, hey Paul Let's have a ball”.

Brand new release. Really great soul record that drips with influence from Marvin and Stevie, blending fun smooth party songs with social scorchers, just like the masters did. Superb pressing too. The one-two punch of Trayvon and 38th & Chicago to close out the set is quite poignant.

I had to keep this one on low volume because the woman who has an office next to mine would not approve. First track is Lord of Poison, different from venom but often confused.
