As it is written: an entire month of record prompts inspired by Dune (the book and the movies), just because.

Feel free to play the music in any format, to play catch up if needed, and to interpret the prompt however you want.

1 - The Voice: Play something that compels you to move.

2 - Spice: Play something that helps you see beyond the stars.

3 - Lisan al Gaib: This means "the voice from the outer world." Play something from outside your part of the world.

4 - Muad'Dib: This little mouse is resourceful. Play something by an artist that made the most of the resources of the recording studio.

5 - Gom Jabbar: Play something with some venom to it.

6 - Stillsuits: Play an album so long that you wish you had a special suit to prevent the need for bathroom trips.

7 - The Bene Gesserit: Play something bewitching.

8 - Shai-Hulud: The giant sandworm is the lynchpin of the whole desert ecosystem. Play something by someone highly influential.

9 - Gurney Halleck: This warrior is also a poet. Play something with great lyrics.

10 - The Butlerian Jihad: This war destroyed all the thinking machines. Eschew electronics and play something acoustic today.

11 - Vladimir Harkonnen: Play something that's a lot.

12 - Little Maker: These baby sandworms are also known as sandtrout. Play something early by someone who went on to bigger things.

13 - Thumpers: These devices call sandworms with their steady beat. Play something where the drumming or beats take center stage.

14 - Paul Atreides: Play something by someone has been, or has been called, the "savior" of their genre.

15 - Sietch Tabr: This is the home community of the Fremen Paul lives with. Play something from one of your favorite musical scenes, communities, collectives, or movements.

16 - Duncan Idaho: In honor of this fierce warrior, play something that doesn't quit.

17 - CHOAM: This corporation/cartel controls the economy of the universe. Play something from a major label.

18 - Crysknife: This blade is made from the tooth of giant sandworms. Play something by a solo artist that was once part of a band.

19 - Mentats: These humans have been trained to do great calculations in their minds. Play an artist you consider a genius.

20 - Gholas: These clones are made from the bodies of the dead. Play something from a band or artist who returned from a long hiatus.

21 - Alia Atreides: Play something by someone wise beyond their years.

22 - Filmbook: In honor of these audio-visual books, play something that has a good music video to one or more of the songs (and share the video if its available online).

23 - Maker hooks: You need these to ride the sandworms. Play something with seriously catchy hooks.

24 - Liet-Kynes: This planetologist has one foot in the Imperium and one in the culture of the Fremen. Play something that blends 2 (or more) genres.

25 - Missionaria Protectiva: The Bene Gesserit spread their religion and myths through this program. Play something that has to do with faith.

26 - Feyd-Rautha: Play something menacing.

27 - Chani: Play something having to do with disappointment or betrayal.

28 - Emperor Shaddam IV: Play something that by an artist that used to rule but has dropped off some.

29 - Water of Life: Play something where an artist leveled up in some way.

30 - Kwisatz Haderach: This powerful being is the product of centuries of planning and prophecy. Play an album that is the culmination of an artist's career.

Ar-ROCK-is? More like Ad-ROCK-Is!

Similar to Stilgar, Shadrach, Mesach and Abednego were willing to lay their lives on their line for their beliefs. Unlike Stilgar they were also name checked in a funky track from Sly and the Family Stone that is sampled in the Beasties Shadrach.
