We just started the new season.
I think he intends his music to be serious but there’s some humor to it. Maybe 😁

Yeah it really is, I haven't listened to it since it came out, and I got a lot more into J Dilla since then which has given me more of an appreciation for this type of thing. Haven't got to Eggy yet but keen to keep in touch with what Flightless is doing as a label.

I know Matt best from The Mighty Boosh, which if you are familiar with it might lend a pretty bad perception of what it might be like. He sometimes gets a bit silly, but its really not like 'comedy music' at all, just occasionally funny in a very quaint British folk way. I would recommend Witchazel as a starting point, which features Paul McCartney of all people. I'm pretty sure he multi tracks almost all of it himself and is generally light on lyrics, just loopy guitar jamming between folk and now psych.
