This is a place to meet fellow disc golfers, talk about courses, discs, music you listen to while discing or anything else having to do with the sport.
Yep then smack right into a tree...god damn it!!!
So what’s in everyone’s bag? I have all Innova because I’m a creature of habit and I’m scared to try any other.
distance drivers - Beast, Katana, Wraith, Boss, Teerex. Only really throw the beast and katana though
Fairway drivers - Teebird X2, Eagle X2
Midrange - Roc X4, Lycan (love this disc)
also I don’t use a putter because I wedged one (or saw someone wedge one) into a basket one time and said no more. So I use a Roc to put but I want to purchase and start using one again. Any suggestions?
I had an Innova Shark and a Cheetah didn’t use a putter.First discs?
For me all three were Innova DX plastic: Valkyrie, Skeeter and Aviar3
Same. Used to go about 3-4 times a week. Had a crew of around 10 people that would get together. Then I switched jobs, everyone else switched jobs, one guy moved to Brazil for a while, I changed girlfriends and started going on way more trips in summer, one guy got too lazy and decided to commit his life to drinking craft beer......in other words Life Happened.Man, I haven't gone disc golfing in YEARS. I've got my old discs, I'll need to dig them out and report back.
Jones got what a triple or quadruple bog on that hole? Watched it live and was really feeling bad for him. Eagles birdie to seal the win was definitely gratifying.Same. The last time I really threw a bag together and got out there was about 4 years ago. I do, currently, have all of my discs sitting in the living room floor, though. I am going through them to decide what to bag and what to sell and plan on getting out there and re-learning everything I've forgotten.
I still watch the coverage most weekends. Good to see Simon back out there and doing well. Eagle still rubs me the wrong way with his after-shot tantrums, but happy to see him putting everything together and getting some big wins. Good to see Wysocki back at the top after sitting out a year with Lyme's Disease. Unfortunate what happened to Kevin Jones on Hole 15 last weekend. He really showed professionalism with how he handled it, though. A player like Nikko or Eagle would have kicked his bag into a sandtrap and taco'ed the shit out of their disc. Paige Pierce still crushing all comers in the women's world, which makes the FPO events kind of un-interesting. Cat is the only one that really comes close, but even she is getting blown-out on the Final Round every event. Kona Panis could be a definite contender if she can fix her putt.
UPDATE - Just threw that Lightning Disc driver into the SAME pond this morning. LMAOReally slowed down this year for whatever reason, probably only get out a few times a week. Used to be daily from 2017 onward because I worked right across from the park I frequent.
Anywho, my go to driver is an Innova Destroyer (that cheap DX plastic one) but I lost it in a pond a few weeks back and haven’t made a purchase on Gotta Go, Gotta Throw yet.
So my temporary driver is a Lightning Discs #2 or 3 driver. It’s alright. Distance leaves a little to be desired. But it floats nice.
Midrange I use a Discraft Buzz. Sometimes a the Super Stable but mostly the regular Z one
My putter is an Axiom Envy.
You may need to invest in one of these…UPDATE - Just threw that Lightning Disc driver into the SAME pond this morning. LMAO
Off to the Air Traffic I guess.

I’ve done it. They get tired quick. I used to let mine toss from about 100 feet out. He has no interest in going anymore.Has anyone ever gone disc golfing with kids? My twins are almost five, I'm wondering if they could do it and would enjoy it. There are a few courses not far from us that would be ok for them.
I have gone with my niece and nephew when they were 5 and 2 respectively. It probably depends on the course. The course we played was in a pretty flat public park. We gave them some normal frisbees to throw so they played a bit but eventually ended up passed out in a stroller. It would also probably help if you had at least one other person go with ya so you can take turns watching while the other is taking their turn.I’ve done it. They get tired quick.
