Looking at the lists so far, it looks like there's some big holes in what I've listened to this year (especially Talking Heads). Even so, lots of good stuff I have listened to, so let's go!

1. Bad Religion - Suffer
2. Talk Talk - Spirit of Eden
3. Dinosaur Jr. - Bug
4. NWA - Straight Outta Compton
5. Pixies - Surfer Rosa
6. R.E.M. - Green - Co-First album of theirs I purchase on vinyl. Found it and Document in my local. No hesitation on scooping them up!
7. Iron Maiden - Seventh Son of a Seventh Son
8. Living Colour - Vivid
9. Metallica - ...And Justice For All
10. My Bloody Valentine - Isn't Anything. When writing this, I remembered I never listened to MBV, and sadly discovered it's not on Spotify...

Honorable Mentions:
Joy Division - Substance. I don't include compilations on the list proper, but I still enjoy the rarities and songs from several EPs all in one place.
Public Enemy - It Takes A Nation of Millions to Hold Us Back
Social Distortion - Prison Bound
Megadeth - So Far, So Good, So What!
Soul Asylum - Hang Time

This is a hard year to rank...had a difficult time finding 10 albums to put on my list. Pretty strong year for metal from what I can see on others' lists, even if it is not a genre that I find solace in as well as others. Outside of the well known mammoths of the era (Slayer, Metallica, Death, etc.), I will admit I am somewhat clueless in my knowledge of metal. Going to try more of these bands out in the coming days.

After much deliberation:
  1. Sonic Youth - Daydream Nation
  2. My Bloody Valentine - Isn't Anything
  3. Galaxie 500 - Today
  4. Jane's Addiction - Nothing's Shocking
  5. Cocteau Twins - Blue Bell Knoll
  6. N.W.A - Straight Outta Compton
  7. Steve Roach - Dreamtime Return
  8. Dead Can Dance - The Serpent's Egg
  9. Death - Leprosy
  10. The Sugarcubes - Life's Too Good
Thank you for leading this fun thread, @Woob_woob!
