Album of The Year - Endgame

Yea Winters Love may be my favorite song of all time. Sung Tongs is my favorite due to countless good memories that are associated with that music. There are about 5 perfect AnCo albums (including Person Pitch) imo
For sure regarding the 5 perfect albums and then 2+ really good albums/eps. And kids on holiday comes in after winters love! It’s perfect.

Idk if this album will make my top 10 but this song rips for always.

So I think this will be a list heavy on bands from this side of the ocean for me sorry!

Loving this nostalgia boost. All I need now is a to be transported back in time to a bad student night club with terrible diet cheap booze...
Different point in my life - starting high school - but the nostalgia boost is real

I mentioned the two artists in disgrace...

These are two songs I love off two albums I love, pity about the people that made them..

They should be high up my lists but I’ll probably leave both off 😟

Lots of really incredible and undeniably influential albums from this year. I base my lists ENTIRELY on personal enjoyment, which is why relatively obscure albums beat out cultural classics like Funeral or Madvillainy, but the classics are classics for a reason - they're fucking amazing. Though I have to say, I'm not entirely sure I could've made a list much longer than this, especially if really enjoying the albums is a criteria (as opposed to just a ranked list of all the albums from 2004 I've listened to, good and bad). I could probably do 20, maybe 25, but not a whole ton more than that I don't think. Obviously quality > quantity and all that, but I found it sorta funny since the last year we did was 2013 - while I wouldn't rank any album from that year over College Dropout or Funeral, I could EASILY make a list of at least 50 albums from that year that I loved

This year was unreal. What was in the water these days ? Any year where I don't even rank Cave's or PJ's album from that year is nothing short of exceptional !

spreddy updated for 2013...i'm calling arcade fire canadian! and mbv irish!!

2004 was a REALLY strong year!

back then arcade fire and yeezy were clear standouts, and then i lurrrrrrrrrved the walkmen, the streets...and kings of leon?

my fave oztrayan album of 04 was probably eskimo joe's a song is a city, which was stacked with great oz pop-rock songs

other local considerations would be dappled cities debut, kasey chambers' wayward angel, sia's colour the small one, nick cave's double album, and i dug the vines second record big time - rob schnapf's production was tight

One of the most slept-on releases of the century came out this year: Zap Mama - Ancestry in Progress.

Clearly influenced by the Soulquarians Sound, it also features Erykah, Questlove and Common. Unfortunately never released on vinyl. But I´m probably biased on this, as this was the soundtrack to the first summer I spent with my now-wife..
